The History of Toronto Argonauts Football/Toronto FC Soccer at BMO Field

With the CFL Football Season underway, the Toronto Argonauts and Toronto FC are ready for kick-off! The Argonauts have been playing at BMO Field since 2016, while Toronto FC has been playing there since 2007. Speaking of BMO Field, the venue can hold at least 25,000 fans in attendance. The team previously played at the Rogers Centre from 1989 until 2015. BMO Field is about a 5-10 minute drive from Downtown Toronto (home of the MLB’s Blue Jays, NHL’s Maple Leafs, and NBA’s Raptots). The football stadium is also located close to Medieval Times Dinner & Show Toronto. The Argonauts last won a Grey Cup championship in 2017, their 3rd such title since 2004. Meanwhile, the Toronto FC last won the MLS Cup in 2017. BMO Field hosted the NHL Centennial Classic in 2017 (Maple Leafs vs. Red Wings).
